About this build
Grimea Alpha v1.1.3 is a mechanics‑forward demo of the game. The current playable slice centers on the Fae Village area, with combat, recruitment, quest flow, progression, and equipment systems all active.
This is still an alpha: content is limited, stats are still being balanced, and some game flows remain rough while core systems continue to be refined.
Recent updates also improve combat clarity, class readability, targeting flow, and launcher/update reliability.
What is currently playable
- Room‑based exploration across the early Fae Village area, with searchable rooms, interactions, locked rooms, hidden secrets, combat encounters, a shop, and a quest.
- Party combat with class skills, consumables, status handling, multi‑enemy encounters, and cleaner target‑selection flow.
- Per‑character EXP progression for the hero and recruited allies.
- Unique takes on familiar classes/races with distinct growth curves and resources, now presented with clearer role detail.
- Equipment loadouts with weapon/armor/off‑hand items restricted by class proficiency.
- Recruit flow updates for key NPCs, including class‑choice recruitment and unique NPC skills.
- Early quest and reward loop.
- Ingredient gathering + crafting recipes for consumable support.
- Launcher/update flow improvements, including clearer update prompts, progress tracking, and more reliable repair behavior.
Current alpha limitations
- Visual polish is still in progress; art/UI elements remain placeholder.
- Overall balance is not final (EXP pacing, encounter pressure, skills, and gear tuning are ongoing).
- The overworld travel scene is still a placeholder and does not yet represent final map navigation.
- Save/content compatibility may change between alpha updates.
- You may still encounter bugs in scene flow, combat edge cases, or progression state transitions.

- Combat readability and decision clarity (especially skills, status effects, and turn flow).
- Class identity and equipment restrictions (does each class feel distinct?).
- Recruit/class‑choice flow for companions (clarity, pacing, and payoff).
- Quest progression clarity and narrative flow.
- Any crashes, soft‑locks, or broken state transitions.
